An actual recent conversation at our house, regarding some new food for our kitten, Oona, who continues to have mild gastrointestinal issues (i.e., soft poops):
Wife: “This food has 42 kilocalories per ounce. How much is Oona going to need?”
Me: “I’ll have to look at how many calories are in the food she’s been getting and do some math.”
Wife: “You don’t know how many calories she gets now?”
Me: “No, I don’t carry that information around in my head.”
Wife: “But you carry all kinds of other information around in your head. Name all the Doctors in order.”
Me (beat): “The First Doctor, the Second Doctor, the Third Doctor, the Fourth Doctor …”
One must choose one’s trivia questions wisely, lest they be answerable trivially.

Yeah, I have a huge backlog of pictures and videos from her very smol Smol Oona phase to get through over there. She’s way too photogenic! 😂 Tuesday is weigh-in day and she’s currently tipping the scales at 7.3 pounds (Charlee is 8.7 pounds and Chaplin 10.1).

She seems to be doing well on her latest regimen, which is a little bit of frozen “Just For Cats” food along with Chaplin’s special kibble. Hopefully everything stays nice and solid this time!
