I hated AOL and switched to a local dial – up within a few months.

Oh, I remember that voice! I’d be in the middle of something when AOL would decide to quit. Out of nowhere would come “GOODBYE!” and I’d be offline. There would be a few Anglo-Saxon comments, as I recall.

Hard to believe! Apparently people are buying old CRTs now for playing retro video games. Of course I didn’t find out about that until after we had gotten rid of all our old monitors and TV sets …
