Spelling Bee Minus

This week, it’s time for another set of words that weren’t in various Spelling Bee puzzles, but should have been. Or that obviously wouldn’t be, but hey, they’re still funny, right? Right? 🦗🦗🦗*

This one is, of course, an actual word, being a medical term involving blood clots. It is also, as the longtime reader knows, a procedure that you** can do to stop up an aneurysm and prevent it from bleeding.

Incidentally, part of my Spelling Bee routine is that once I get to the Genius level (or give up on getting there), I go to the comments to see which word people are complaining about not being able to use. “Embolize” was pretty high up there this day.

If you don’t, you should.
If you do have a hound, they will be likely to do this out in the yard. Usually plural.
Speaking of hounds, ours has a buddy whose name is Nixie. As it happens, this is also a word, although you might have play D&D, read a lot of folklore (which if you play D&D you probably do), or be familiar with a certain Xanth book to know it.
You can hardly go into a dramatic scene without this one, can you? Dun dun DUNNNNNNN! And speaking of dangerous scenes …
We could hardly have had all those Dennis adventures without the use of “AAAAIIIIEEEEEE!!!”, am I right?
Jack Burton: “What does that thing do?”
Egg Shen: “Turns your enemies into chickens.
Dennis: “Aiiieee! Keep that gun away from me!

And also, yes, as you can see from the previous screen shot, Spelling Bee lets you use words like “Gonna” and “Wanna”. If you are imagining that people often complain bitterly about this in the comments, you would be correct.

* Crickets, for the emojionally challenged.
** Well, you probably can’t do it, but they can. You know. Them.

Scribble me this, Batman! (Note: WordPress is having some trouble with comments right now, so don't feel guilty if you can only leave a "Like" at the moment.)
