In case you were wondering, the Chocobo is the big yellow bird in this picture from the Final Fantasy VII remake:

Also in case you were wondering, Chocobos didn’t look like that in Final Fantasy VII when I played it. Then again, neither did Aerith. Or Tifa. Or Cloud. Or anybody else. Let’s review … First, Aerith (she’s not the main character, but she is my favorite):

I’d probably feel even worse about failing to save this version of Aerith than I did about failing to save the original.

Yeah, they don’t look the same as they did in 1997. But then, who does? For instance, let’s compare a picture of me from 1997 with a picture of me in 2024 and see if … Actually you know what? Let’s not.
