Since I was busy this weekend (when I usually schedule these things) battening down the hatches ahead of Hurricane Hilary*, I thought I would just share what the animals are up to this week:
Lulu: “Okay, I called this meeting because as you may have heard, we are being threatened by Hurricane Hilary … Wait, where’s Charlee?”
Soon …
Lulu: “You’re missing the meeting.”
Charlee: “The invitation said the agenda was a hurricane coming from Baja. I figured we would just be talking about Bean.”
Java Bean: “The Baja Hurricane! That’s me!”
* Update as of Sunday evening: We didn’t get any damage from Hilary at our house, just a steady soaking rain and a few bursts of high winds. Other parts of Southern California didn’t fare as well.

Hope you and your home make it through the hurricane in one piece. We have a friend living there who said Hillary wasn’t as bad as advertised.

Yes, we definitely caught a break here that it tracked further east than earlier forecasts had it. From what I’ve seen they took a pretty serious pounding in the mountains and desert!
