This week’s free Prime book is The Sirens of Titan, Kurt Vonnegut’s classic from 1959. I haven’t picked up any Vonnegut since Hocus Pocus, but now that I’ve discovered that most of his books appear to be available to be borrowed for free via Prime, I’m sure to pick up more of them.
Mankind flung its advance agents ever outward, ever outward. Eventually it flung them out into space, into the colorless, tasteless, weightless sea of outwardness without end.
Meanwhile, editing on the first rewritten draft of The War of the Ravels continues, which means, for teasers, we’re much closer to the beginning than the end now. Fewer spoilers!
Mercy reached the end of the arrow-slit corridor without ever finding a door to the outside. Which, she supposed, made sense; you wouldn’t want your enemy bashing its way into the very hallway from which your archers were trying to shoot them.
