That is a great photo. Very cute.
1995, that was when me and my American wife moved to Sweden (I am originally from Sweden). We would later move back to the US.

In 1995 we were still living in New York State, where we both grew up; it was taken in a park on the grounds of a local college. I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before, but we have good friends in Sweden ― they live in Örebro!

That is interesting, both facts. I’ve been to Örebro several times. It’s like in the middle. I am from the north.

The pictures I’ve seen of theirs when they are out in the wilderness in Sweden remind me a LOT of the Adirondacks in northern New York. I think we would have a good time out in those woods for a week or two.

Yes that does not suprise me. It all depends on where you are in Sweden southern Sweden is pretty flat. Other parts are hilly with a lot of forests, lakes and rivers. Northern Sweden has a lot of mountains, the same muntain range as Norway. Where I come from, the High Coast there are mountains with fjords, or as they are called in Swedish fjärds.

I have friends (he’s a blogger) who are moving to Sweden soon. She’s Swedish and he’s American but needs a break from America right now.

Our friends are both Swedish, but one of them (the wife) has dual American citizenship because she was born here. They moved back to Sweden, mmm, fifteen or twenty years ago, not long after their kids were born, because most of their family was there and they had better governmental child care options in Sweden (shocker, I know) …
