    1. It’s along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah Park in Virginia. We spent a really nice vacation one year driving along and it and just stopping and getting a room in whichever lodge we ended up at; we were there very early in the season and few people were in the park.

  2. I was just wondering that and also why most of the leaves are no longer on it…why is it so defoliated?

    Nice scenery though!

    1. It actually hadn’t fully leafed out yet; this was at Shenandoah National Park and we were there very early in the season (late May), so it was still pretty cold up in the mountains and everything was still waking up from the winter.
